Job summary

SIN CHEW CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee accounting operations and drive governance across the organisation in Singapore.

The role covers financial closing, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and compliance with tax, audit, and governance requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance processes and implement robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience in M&A, capital raising, fund raising, accounting/transaction services, or investment banking.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, corporate finance, and M&A practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Understanding of logistics and manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the full spectrum of accounting operations.
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, including preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and reports.
• Provide financial analysis and insights for monthly management reporting and decision-making.
• Play a key and active role in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and costing matters.
• Oversee tax planning, GST submissions, and annual income tax reporting.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage the annual financial audit.
• Review, enhance, and implement accounting and finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Liaise with corporate secretary, auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government authorities.
• Work closely with other departments on digitalization and finance system improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support to management on complex accounting, tax, and financial matters.
• Any adhoc tasks assigned by management.
