Job summary

ACExcellent Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a field service engineer to install, calibrate, and service leak detectors, residual gas analysers, and related analytical equipment in semiconductor environments. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and ensure safe, compliant operation across Singapore sites.

The role requires strong problem-solving, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to travel to customer sites with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing technical equipment.
Higher NITEC in Electronics or Mechatronics with direct cleanroom or equipment-servicing experience.
Experience with leak detectors and residual gas analysers (RGA) is an advantage.
Strong fault-finding, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and prioritize with minimal supervision.
Fast learner able to understand new equipment and manuals quickly.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Attention to detail in repairs, testing, and documentation.
Commitment to safe working practices and quality standards.
Basic computer skills for service documentation and emails.
Willingness to travel to Singapore customer sites.
Experience in semiconductor manufacturing vacuum/cleanroom is an advantage.
Familiarity with vacuum systems, leak-testing, mass spectrometry and gas-analysis equipment is a plus.
Calibration, preventive maintenance, and post-repair verification experience.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, inspect, maintain, and repair leak detectors, residual gas analysers, analytical (GC, GCMS) equipment and pressure sensor gauges.
Perform preventive maintenance and equipment calibration in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
Troubleshoot equipment faults, identify root causes, and carry out repairs safely and effectively.
Test and verify equipment operation after service, including leak-detection and analytical performance checks as applicable.
Respond promptly to service requests and minimize equipment downtime for customers.
Provide technical support and clear guidance to customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and care.
Complete service reports, maintenance records, calibration records, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
Coordinate with customers and internal teams to plan service work and arrange required parts, tools, and follow-up actions.
Follow applicable safety, quality, cleanroom, and site-access requirements.
Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend improvements to reliability, service procedures, or customer support.
