Job summary

KOKUSAI SEMICONDUCTOR SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a field service technician to install, start-up and commission front-end semiconductor equipment in a wafer fabrication facility.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, implement corrective actions and train customers’ engineers on operation and basic maintenance, with travel across Singapore and overseas as required. Diploma/degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 2+ years in semiconductor equipment installation, maintenance or servicing.
• Fresh graduates welcome; training provided.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel between customer sites and overseas when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, start-up and commissioning of front-end semiconductor equipment in a wafer fabrication environment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, servicing, repairs and equipment modifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults, and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Identify and implement improvements to equipment performance, reliability and uptime.
• Coordinate spare parts, tools and logistics required for installation, maintenance and repair activities.
• Provide on-site technical support and train customers' engineers and technicians on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Maintain service reports and maintenance records, and elevate unresolved technical issues to the relevant technical teams.
• Maintain good working relationships with customers and internal teams, and represent the company professionally at customer sites.
• Follow customer site safety procedures, cleanroom protocols and safe equipment handling practices.
