Job summary

Sysmex Group in Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain Sysmex instruments across Singapore, ensuring high uptime and reliability. You will deliver preventive and corrective maintenance, provide technical support, and build strong customer relationships while following SOPs and KPI guidelines.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience in the IVD or medical device sector, with willingness to participate in after-hours standby rotation and to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years in IVD or medical device service.
• Experience with hematology/coagulation/urinalysis equipment advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-service mindset.
• Willing to participate in after-hours standby rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective service activities for Sysmex instruments.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers across Singapore.
• Manage assigned customer accounts and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ensure service activities are completed in accordance with SOPs and KPI requirements.
• Report technical issues, service trends, and customer feedback to supervisors and regional support teams.
• Manage spare parts inventory required for field service activities.
• Participate in 24-hour standby support on a rotational basis.

Key Purpose

Provide preventive and corrective maintenance support for Sysmex products across Singapore, ensuring high system uptime, operational reliability, and excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective service activities for Sysmex instruments.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers across Singapore.
• Manage assigned customer accounts and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ensure service activities are completed in accordance with established procedures and KPI requirements.
• Report technical issues, service trends, and customer feedback to supervisors and regional support teams.
• Manage spare parts inventory required for field service activities.
• Participate in 24-hour standby support on a rotational basis.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in the IVD, medical device, or healthcare equipment industry.
• Experience servicing diagnostic, laboratory, or medical equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Hematology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis instruments will be an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work independently and maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with customers.
• Willing to participate in after-hours standby support on a rotational basis.
