Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Field Service Engineer II for on-site installation, servicing and repair of high-end analytical instruments in Singapore. You will join a team of engineers with expertise in networks, mechanics, and chemistry, and will be eligible for transportation support, company phone, and laptop, along with bonus and healthcare benefits.

Qualifications

A technical degree or 2+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with SEM/TEM/FIB or similar tools is a plus.
Experience with Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) is a plus.
Ability to read schematics is preferred.
Fluent English is required.

Responsibilities

Install on-site complex equipment and follow testing procedures.
Conduct on-site maintenance visits as scheduled.
Provide troubleshooting and repair support for customers and field staff.
Build positive relationships with customers, system users and company personnel.
Travel to customer sites, often on short notice, to resolve problems or support others.
Complete and submit field service reports; provide training on system maintenance.
