Job summary

Dräger Singapore is seeking an experienced service engineer to support and maintain safety equipment, manage service orders, and communicate technical information to ensure safety compliance and operational efficiency.

You will diagnose equipment issues, perform commissioning and preventive maintenance, coach junior staff, and participate in emergency response activities across oil, gas, and process industries.

Qualifications

• Dipl. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Dipl. in Process Instrumentation or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5–10 years of service/engineering experience in Oil & Gas or Process industries.
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned service orders from initiation through completion, coordinating with Service, Logistics, and other departments.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers and internal stakeholders, providing updates on technical issues, service requirements, equipment status, and delivery schedules.
• Perform equipment commissioning, contract maintenance, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, service documentation, and warranty repairs for assigned products and systems.
• Independently diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to restore optimal performance.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency service requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing equipment downtime.
• Prepare and communicate technical findings, service reports, and recommendations clearly and professionally to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job support to junior service engineers and technicians as required.
• Participate in service-related projects, equipment enhancement initiatives, emergency response activities, and other technical assignments to support business and customer needs.
