Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment at on-site locations. You will use digital analytics for troubleshooting and perform preventative maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in field service, understand electrical/mechanical schematics, and can read technical drawings.

Qualifications

Associate degree or military/technical training or equivalent field service experience.
1–2 years of work experience in customer/field service support or related technical field.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain passport for travel.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
Use digital analytics for troubleshooting.
Apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and address issues with guidance from seniors.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (training provided).
Coordinate and communicate directly with customers.
