Job summary

Atlas Copco Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Compressor Technique Service team in Singapore. The role focuses on maximizing customer satisfaction through professional field service, consultancy, and promoting service products to generate service NIS.

You will carry out daily field tasks, maintain equipment, and provide detailed job reports. Ideal candidates have mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with air compressors/dryers, and knowledge of

Qualifications

• Experience in repair and troubleshooting of air compressors and air dryers.
• Knowledge of inverter operating principle and troubleshooting would be an advantage.
• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical or Electronic discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily jobs as instructed by supervisor/service engineer.
• Inform customer in charge before any jobs to avoid production interruption.
• Follow all instructions in the Scope of Works for service jobs/quotations.
• Maintain cleanliness at compressor room and surroundings after completion.
• Test run and monitor units; record readings for satisfactory operation.
• Write reports on jobs done in daily time sheets and note follow-up actions.
• Record and explain to customer any follow-up or repair needs.
• Provide feedback to Service Supervisor on required follow-up actions.
• Maintain service vehicle and keep personal tools/workshop area in order.
• Order and collect spare parts for service jobs.
• Record all time spent in field and workshop activities.

Job Description

• Carry out daily jobs given/instructed by supervisor / service engineer.
• On arrival, inform customer in charge before any jobs being carried out in order to avoid any interruption in production.
• Follow all instructions given in the Scope of Works in service jobs / quotations.
• To implement correct working methods and use correct tools and to obey safety rules.
• Maintain satisfactory cleanliness at compressor room and surrounding area after the jobs have been completed.
• To test run and monitoring on units, record all reading to ensure units running at satisfactory conditions.
• Write reports on jobs done on daily time sheets and recommend any follow-up actions.
• Record and explain to customer if any follow up or repair jobs have to be done.
• Feedback to Service Supervisor on follow-up actions required.
• Maintain service vehicle and upkeep personal tools and equipment and workshop area.
• Ordering and collection of spare parts for service jobs.
• Recording of all time spend in field and workshop activities.

Experience Requirements

• having skills and experience on repair and troubleshooting of air compressors and air dryers are preferred
• Knowledge on inverter operating principle and troubleshooting skills and experience would be an advantage

Knowledge

• Mechanical / electric-mechanical troubleshooting skill
• Knowledge about air compressor's operating principle and its component functions are preferred
