Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Field Product Readiness Engineer in Singapore, joining the sPDP Center of Excellence. You will lead readiness for product lines, manage multi-site deployments across Etch, MDP, or DDP, and align inputs from field, SBU, BU, GPS, and customers to ensure smooth transitions from early readiness to NPI and HVM.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years hands-on experience in Etch, MDP-Metal Deposition or DDP-Dielectric Deposition products.
• Deep expertise in product readiness and serviceability, with ability to lead functional projects.
• Strong system-level understanding of equipment and fab operations.
• Strong problem-solving using multiple data sources, field evidence and customer context.
• Project management discipline: sprint execution, backlog clarity, KPI tracking.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead readiness validation for complex products, new modules, or multi-site readiness streams; close cross-functional readiness gaps before field introduction.
• Coordinate field observations, tool data, and customer impact into actionable recommendations for product, service, and SBU teams.
• Use sprint discipline, KPI tracking, and structured feedback loops to improve field readiness and customer outcomes.
• Lead validation and improvement of CE tooling, install procedures, PM/CM procedures, and knowledge transfer.
• Develop FMECA and escalation plans to reduce future readiness issues.
