Job summary

SP Group, a leading energy utility in Asia Pacific, is recruiting for meter readers in Singapore. The role involves taking readings at customer premises and ensuring timely submission of data using company systems, while adhering to schedules and safety protocols.

The position is contract-based (Service arrangement) with comprehensive training provided. Candidates should be prepared for extensive outdoor walking, independent work, and effective communication; owning a vehicle is a plus.

Qualifications

• Able to undertake extensive walking and work effectively in outdoor environments, under different weather conditions.
• Able to work independently.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferably possess Class 2/2A/2B driving license and own a vehicle.
• No prior experience required as comprehensive training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Read electricity, water, gas meters at customer premises and take related actions as required.
• Accurately record and submit meter readings using company-provided systems and devices within stipulated timelines.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely completion of readings.
• Attend to general enquiries by customers at site regarding meter reading matters.
• Report any meter irregularities and difficulties faced in reading meters on site.
