Job summary

Amgen Singapore is seeking an Engineer (Maintenance) to provide field-based technical support, troubleshooting, and mechanical maintenance oversight for plant utilities and equipment in a GMP manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on resolving equipment issues, improving preventive maintenance, guiding technicians, coordinating contractors, and ensuring maintenance work is safe, compliant, and reliable.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of utilities and mechanical maintenance in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Ability to provide technical oversight, influence maintenance execution, and guide technicians and contractors.
• Proven problem-solving skills with data-driven improvement experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide field-based technical oversight for utilities and mechanical maintenance activities, including equipment walkdowns, live troubleshooting, and work execution support.
• Drive maintenance and improvement activities by prioritizing field issues, following up on PM execution, and improving job plans.
• Collaborate with System Owners and Technicians to perform field troubleshooting and review equipment condition.
• Work with Planning and Scheduling to ensure work orders are field-ready and properly scoped.
• Coordinate daily work execution with Technicians and Utility Operations, including field walkdowns and post-work verification.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve structured technical training and qualification programs for maintenance personnel.
• Capture and share maintenance knowledge from field troubleshooting to support knowledge retention.
• Assist in identifying and implementing reliability improvements for mechanical and utilities equipment.
