Job summary

Diotec is hiring a Field Application Engineer in Singapore to support the local sales office and engage customers with technically sound solutions.

You will visit customers, understand their requirements, and work with our product teams to deliver effective demonstrations and training.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
• Strong R&D customer network and engagement skills.
• Independent, proactive, and accountable with good time management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Technical support of our Singapore Sales office as a Field Application Engineer
• Visit to customers to understand their technical requirements for new/ current projects and convert them into executable solutions using our products
• Prepare market and competitor analysis with our Product Marketing team
• Participate in development of new products with our Product Marketing team to enlarge our existing portfolio
• Conduct technical training/ presentations/ workshops/ solution demonstrations both internally within the organization and at customers' end
• Support customer in their design review/ project development and engineering discussions

Requirements:

• Diploma and above in Electronic and/or Electrical Engineering
• Strong R&D customer network
• Strong personal commitment, able work independently with minimal supervision
• Has the ability to engage customer independently
• Collaborate with local and overseas distributors & major customers across multiple regions
• Strong in organization skills, problem-solving/ critical thinking
• Fast learner with a proactive attitude and a strong sense of accountability
• Able to multitask, prioritize workload and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Able to work in a team and be a team player
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
