Job summary

Lucky Joint Construction Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced optical fibre testing professional to conduct end-to-end testing, validation and certification for dark fibre projects.

You will perform OTDR/OLTS/BER testing using EXFO equipment and analyze results to identify faults and ensure customer acceptance. The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and ability to coordinate testing across multiple project sites in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in optical fibre testing, commissioning, troubleshooting or network deployment.
• Proficient in interpreting OTDR traces and fibre test results; experience with EXFO equipment/software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end optical fibre testing, validation and certification for dark fibre network projects.
• Perform OTDR, OLTS, insertion loss, ORL, CD, PMD and BER testing using industry-standard equipment.
• Analyze OTDR traces and test results using EXFO Toolbox or equivalent software to identify faults, losses and network impairments.
• Troubleshoot issues such as high splice loss, connector contamination, excessive attenuation, fibre breaks, reflection issues, and macro/micro bends.
• Recommend corrective actions, verify rectification works and confirm that fibre routes meet customer acceptance requirements.
• Support commissioning, maintenance, acceptance testing and fault-investigation activities across multiple project sites.
• Inspect and certify optical connectors and end-faces in accordance with IEC standards.
• Review engineering drawings, fibre routing plans, testing packages and project documentation before testing works.
• Coordinate testing schedules, site access and field activities with project coordinators, network operators, site teams, subcontractors and third-party vendors.
• Review and validate test data submitted by external vendors, raise technical issues and follow up on resolution.
• Prepare clear fibre test reports, analysis reports, acceptance packages and project close-out documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of testing results, defects, corrective actions and project milestones.
• Ensure testing equipment is calibrated, well maintained and ready for deployment.
