Job summary

Recruitpedia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to oversee production and warehouse activities in a food manufacturing environment.

You will manage inventory accuracy, implement barcode and WMS systems, and ensure compliance with HACCP and GMP. The role requires 5–8 years in manufacturing or production operations, a Diploma or Degree, strong leadership, and the ability to drive cost-control and continuous improvement across procurement, logistics and production

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations, preferably food manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and team management skills; oversee production and warehouse personnel.
• Good knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) and regulatory requirements.
• Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving and operational management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory accuracy for raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics providers and transporters on inbound/outbound shipments and freight scheduling.
• Monitor loading, unloading and material handling procedures.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and GMP across production and warehouse.
• Identify and drive process improvements to boost productivity and reduce wastage.
• Provide training and supervise production staff and forklift operators.

Job description

• Manage inventory accuracy for raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliation.

• Implement and maintain inventory tracking systems, including barcoding and scanning.

• Ensure proper storage conditions, warehouse hygiene and safety standards.

• Optimise warehouse layout, racking systems, picking efficiency and stock visibility.

• Coordinate with procurement, logistics providers and transporters on inbound and outbound shipments, freight scheduling and timely customer deliveries and export shipments.

• Monitor loading, unloading and material handling procedures.

3. Food Safety, Compliance & Workplace Safety

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, workplace safety regulations and operational procedures.

• Implement and monitor HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality control procedures.

• Maintain accurate production records, inventory movement documentation and operational records.

• Ensure a safe and hygienic working environment across factory and warehouse operations.

4. Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve production productivity, warehouse efficiency and operational workflows.

• Drive the implementation and improvement of barcoding, inventory tracking and warehouse management systems (WMS).

• Reduce wastage, stock discrepancies and operational bottlenecks.

• Monitor production and warehouse costs and implement cost-control initiatives.

• Prepare operational reports covering production output, inventory levels and operational efficiency.

• Work closely with Procurement, Finance and Sales to support smooth business operations.

5. Team Leadership & Management

• Supervise production staff, warehouse personnel and forklift operators.

• Allocate manpower effectively across production and warehouse operations.

• Provide training on operational procedures, equipment handling and safety practices.

• Monitor team performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee production and warehouse personnel.
• Good knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP and GMP, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Strong planning, organisational, problem-solving and operational management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
