Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production operations, preferably within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP and GMP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage production and warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations to meet output, quality, and productivity targets.
• Coordinate warehouse receipt, storage, handling and dispatch of materials and finished goods.
• Plan freight schedules and logistics to meet customer and export timelines.

We are looking for a Factory Manager with Production experience to support our client in the Manufacturing sector. Our client is a Singapore Company, and we are looking for potential candidates to support them initially for expansion plan.

They are located in West – easily accessible via various modesoftransport.

Role Overview

Oversee production, warehouse, inventory, and logistics operations to ensure efficient manufacturing, consistent product quality, compliance with food safety standards, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• Manage daily production operations to achieve output, quality, and productivity targets.
• Plan and execute production schedules in line with sales forecasts and delivery requirements.
• Optimise manufacturing processes, manpower allocation, and equipment utilisation
• Coordinate with R&D on new product trials and production scale‑up.

Warehouse and Inventory Management

• Oversee the receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and effective tracking systems.
• Implement and maintain barcoding, scanning, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Ensure storage conditions meet food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
• Optimise warehouse layouts and racking systems to improve storage capacity and operational efficiency.

Logistics and Distribution

• Coordinate with procurement teams, logistics providers, and transporters on inbound and outbound shipments.
• Plan freight schedules and warehouse dispatch activities to meet customer and export delivery timelines.
• Oversee loading, unloading, and material handling activities.

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure factory and warehouse operations comply with food safety standards, workplace safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Implement and monitor HACCP, GMP, and quality control procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and inventory movement documentation.
• Promote safe working practices across production and warehouse teams.

Process Improvement and Cost Control

• Drive productivity improvements, warehouse automation, and process optimisation initiatives.
• Improve inventory visibility, picking efficiency, and stock accuracy.
• Reduce production wastage, stock discrepancies, and operational bottlenecks.
• Monitor and control production and warehouse operating costs.

Team Management and Reporting

• Lead and supervise production staff, warehouse personnel, and forklift operators.
• Allocate manpower effectively and provide training on operating procedures, equipment handling, and safety.
• Monitor team performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports on production output, inventory levels, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and sales teams to support smooth daily operations.

Requirements
