Job summary

NOVEXX PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Facilities & Utilities Engineer to lead site utilities and facility operations at our Gul/Tuas Plant.

The role emphasizes reliable utility support essential for continuous production. You will oversee steam, chilled water, clean gases, water systems, and HVAC, while coordinating with vendors and leading maintenance improvements. A mechanical/electrical engineering degree and 8+ years of experience are expected, with cGMP familiarity and SAP/BMS

Qualifications

• 8+ years in utility operations in a manufacturing setting.
• At least 3 years working on green or sustainability engineering projects.
• Knowledge of cGMP, HSA, FDA guidelines and experience with automated systems (BMS/SAP).
• SCEM or Boiler certificate is a massive advantage.
• Willingness to standby for emergencies in a regulated plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain essential utilities (steam, chilled water, clean gases, water systems) to keep production running 24/7.
• Manage cleanrooms & HVAC, ensuring climate control systems run smoothly and checks are performed.
• Oversee site services, coordinating with external vendors to keep the facility safe, clean, and well-maintained.
• Lead and improve maintenance activities by supervising shift technicians and driving investigations into failures.

Position: Facilities & Utilities Engineer / Senior Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced engineer to guide our site utilities and facility operations. If you enjoy a mix of technical leadership, team coaching, and proactive problem-solving in a modern manufacturing plant, this is the perfect space for you.

Location : Gul/ Tuas Plant

What you'll do:

• Maintain Essential Utilities (25%): Oversee 24/7 black utilities (steam, chilled water, clean gases, and water systems) to keep production running without a hitch.
• Manage Cleanrooms & HVAC (25%): Drive the smooth operation of climate control systems and handle technical checks for cleanroom spaces.
• Oversee Site Services (20%): Partner with external vendors to keep the entire facility clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Lead and Improve (30%): Supervise shift technicians, update maintenance plans, and lead investigations to find out why equipment failed so we can make it better.

What makes you a great candidate?

• You have an Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical) and 8+ years in utility operations. Candidates with lesser years of experience will be considered for the none senior role.
• You have spent at least 3 years working on green or sustainability engineering projects.
• You understand the basics of pharmaceutical manufacturing guidelines (cGMP, HSA, FDA) and enjoy utilizing automated systems (BMS/SAP).
• Having an SCEM or Boiler certificate is a massive advantage!
• You are comfortable with standby duties to help the team out during unexpected breakdowns.
• You have prior background in a regulated plant environment (Pharma/Chemical/Oil & Gas) is strongly preferred.
