Job summary

Randstad - Construction, Property & Engineering is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for a bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Tuas. You will oversee critical utilities, GMP compliance, and regulatory readiness while coordinating vendor operations and plant shutdowns.

The role requires 5–8 years in GMP-regulated facilities management, with hands-on lab, cleanroom, and utilities support, ensuring safety and energy efficiency across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/engineering technology.
• 5-8 years of Facilities Management experience in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device environment, with hands-on expertise supporting laboratories, cleanrooms, and critical utilities.
• Proven experience managing facilities within a GMP-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of critical utilities including cleanroom HVAC, WFI, compressed air, and emergency power.
• Ensure GMP compliance and audit readiness; handle deviations, CAPAs, change controls; represent the facility during regulatory health audits.
• Direct outsourced engineering teams and specialist contractors, ensuring cleanroom environmental controls, safety standards, and SLAs.
• Manage scheduled plant shutdowns, drive energy efficiency initiatives, and oversee preventive maintenance cycles.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and coordinate scheduled plant shutdowns while maintaining compliance and safety.

About the Job

• Critical Utilities: Oversee the operation and maintenance of cleanroom HVAC, Water-for-Injection (WFI), compressed air, and emergency power systems.
• GMP & Audit Readiness: Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain strict GMP compliance. Handle facility-related deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and represent the facility during regulatory health audits.
• Vendor Operations: Direct outsourced engineering teams and specialist contractors, ensuring strict adherence to cleanroom environmental controls, safety standards, and SLAs.
• Plant Optimisation: Manage scheduled plant shutdowns, drive energy efficiency initiatives, and oversee preventive maintenance cycles.
• Strategic Plant Optimisation: Lead continuous improvement projects, coordinate scheduled plant shutdowns, and drive energy efficiency initiatives without compromising compliance or safety.
