Job summary

Oms Oilfield Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Facility Engineer to ensure maintenance is conducted to high standards, plan and oversee the maintenance team, and maintain buildings, grounds and machinery for safe, efficient facility operation.

The role focuses on optimizing processes, implementing best practices, and driving compliance with regulatory requirements. Strong collaboration with contractors and vendors will be essential to deliver reliable facility performance.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; ITE qualification considered with relevant experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical work.
• Strong understanding of facility electrical infrastructure.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of property maintenance, ensuring facility and grounds are well-maintained and presentable.
• Implement maintenance strategies to enhance longevity and reliability of facility infrastructure.
• Lead the execution of preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and proactively address issues.
• Perform routine and advanced maintenance on production machinery for optimal performance.
• Lead installation, commissioning, and calibration of new production machinery and ensure integration with existing processes.
• Liaise with contractors for maintenance, service, and repair activities with quality workmanship and schedule adherence.
• Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to secure best value for the facility.
• Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and leverage data for continuous improvement.
• Plan, execute and update daily work activities.
• Attend to requests/complaints from users and perform minor repairs.
• Liaise with outside contractors during major repairs/ installations and provide assistance as required.
• Comply with quality, health, safety, security and environmental regulations including audits and inspections.

Job description

Responsible for ensuring all works are performed in accordance with specified procedures and standards, maintaining a high level of operational excellence. This role involves planning and overseeing the work of the maintenance team and the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and machinery to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Additionally, the Facility Engineer will perform maintenance tasks as required, continuously seeking to optimize processes and implement best practices. The incumbent is also tasked with strategic planning, process improvements, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

• Perform routine and advanced maintenance on production machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing disruptions.
• Lead the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new production machinery, ensuring seamless integration into existing processes and vice versa
• Liaise with contractors for maintenance, service, and repair activities, ensuring quality workmanship and schedule adherence.
• Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to secure the best value for the facility.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to‑date maintenance records, leveraging data for continuous improvement
• Be involved in and carry out planning, execution and updates for all daily work
• Attend to request / complaints from users and carries out minor repairs.
• Liaise and attend to outside contractors during major repairs/installation works and provides assistance as required.
• Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, security, and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  (Candidates with ITE qualification and relevant years of experience will be considered)
• Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Possess good practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical work
• Possess strong understanding of facility electrical infrastructure system
• Good written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work efficiently and good team orientation
