Job summary

Vanguard Healthcare Pte. Ltd. seeks a dependable Handyman for Bukit Batok Care Home to support maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks ensuring a safe, functional care environment.

You will work with the clinical team, handle plumbing and electrical upkeep, and coordinate with vendors for external services while maintaining asset care and site cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' working experience in a similar role.
• Experience in plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
• Extremely organized with good communication skills.
• Self-motivated and committed.
• Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem solving.
• Good team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs.
• Perform repair works on appliances except medical equipment under preventive maintenance.
• Detect, report and monitor the needs for major maintenance work.
• Regularly check Care Home to identify issues with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns.
• Respond to the clinical team request for repair and maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
• Repair plumbing, electrical and safety system in alignment to the requirement in consultation with appointed Hard FM vendor.
• Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks with appointed Soft FM vendor.
• Oversee the sprinkler system and trash containers in the company premises in consultation with appointed Hard FM vendor.
• Conduct routine performance checks on company assets such as refrigerators, microwaves, oven, wheelchairs, commodes etc.
• Provide support and guidance to the clinical team on maintaining their equipment in consultation with relevant equipment suppliers/ manufacturers.
