Job summary

Sanwa Plastic Industry Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and operation of our manufacturing facilities. You will ensure plant equipment and facilities are safe, maintained, and operational to support smooth production.

The role includes preventive and breakdown maintenance, inspections, spare parts inventory management, pest control, and active participation in EHS initiatives. Independent work and teamwork are both required.

Qualifications

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma or equivalent in related discipline.
• Experience in facilities or plant maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment, building facilities, and fire protection systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain good housekeeping of work areas.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and raise requisitions for replacements.
• Carry out scheduled inspections for pest control in manufacturing environment.
• Serve as first contact for facility security concerns and escalate as needed.
• Participate in EHS initiatives and committee activities.
• Perform other maintenance tasks as assigned by Manager, Engineer, or Senior Technician.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment, building facilities, and fire protection systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain good housekeeping of work areas.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and raise requisitions for replacement of worn or faulty parts and tools.
• Carry out scheduled inspections to ensure effective pest control within the manufacturing environment.
• Serve as the first point of contact for facility security-related concerns and elevate issues when required.
• Participate in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and committee activities.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the Manager, Engineer, or Senior Technician.

Requirements

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in facilities or plant maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance systems.
• Hands-on, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
