Job summary

MiRXES is a Singapore-headquartered molecular diagnostics company seeking a Facilities Technician to support day-to-day maintenance across offices, labs, and manufacturing sites in Singapore. You will monitor equipment, perform basic M&E repairs, and keep records to support ISO 13485 audits.

You’ll coordinate with contractors on preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns including after-hours calls, and help ensure all safety, quality, and GDP standards are met while supporting multiple sites

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in building management or M&E in regulated environments (lab/hospital).
• Higher/NITEC in Facility Technology or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office; work-order systems are a plus.
• Positive attitude, team player, able to work physically.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain all facilities' equipment to minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot/repair electrical and mechanical systems; perform M&E works and handyman tasks.
• Maintain records of M&E installations and equipment for multiple sites.
• Coordinate with contractors on preventive maintenance (ACMV, plumbing, security, soft services).
• Respond to breakdowns and after-hours calls; follow permit-to-work and LOTO procedures.
• Log, update and close work orders; ensure GDP for audits (ISO 13485).
• Support upkeep of lab and manufacturing utilities (cleanroom ACMV, cold storage).
• Collaborate with other functions to meet quality, regulatory, safety and maintenance requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for day to day operations and monitoring of all facilities' equipment to minimise downtime
• Carry out troubleshooting/repair to electrical and mechanical system, general M&E works as well as handyman tasks for MiRXES offices, labs, medical centres facilities operations and provide technical input on gaps/improvement to Supervisor or Facility Manager
• Assist Supervisor or Facility Manager to keep and update records of M&E installations/alterations and equipment for various sites
• To maintain proper records of technical drawings, plans and all M&E services including operational manuals
• Coordinate, supervise and follow-up closely with contractors on preventive maintenance for various mechanical & electrical equipment, including but not limited to: ACMV Systems, Plumbing & Sanitary System, Security System & FM soft services (Amenities, Fittings & Fixtures) and rectification to resolve facilities issues
• Respond promptly to facilities breakdowns and emergency calls, including after-hours call-outs as part of an on-call roster.
• Carry out and supervise work at height, electrical isolation and other high-risk work in line with permit-to-work, risk assessment and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, in compliance with the WSH Act and Work at Height Regulations
• Log, update and close work orders in the facilities maintenance / ticketing system, and keep maintenance records in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) to support ISO 13485 and customer audits
• Support the upkeep of critical laboratory and manufacturing utilities and equipment e.g. cleanroom ACMV, cold storage, including response to equipment alarms
• Work closely with various functions to meet quality, regulatory, safety, operation and maintenance requirement
• Perform any other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned

Desired Skills and Competencies

• At least 1-3 years of experiences in building management, Mechanical and Electrical systems, preferably in a laboratory, cleanroom, hospital or other regulated environment.
• Possess a Higher / NITEC in Facility Technology (Mechanical & Electrical Services), Facility Management or equivalent
• Proficient in MS Office Applications; experience with work-order system is an advantage
• Positive working attitude and a team player
• Possess good interpersonal skills, the ability to handle difficult situations and works well in a fast-paced environment
• Able to perform physical work including ladder work and lifting, and willing to join the after-hours on-call roster
