Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is seeking an Engineer/Senior Engineer to join the Facilities (Gas & Chemical) Department.

You will support gas and chemical distribution systems, ensure continuous utilities, and drive preventive maintenance programs for reliable operations. The role requires a Master/degree in Chemical Engineering, 2–5 years in semiconductor/pharma/petrochemical industries with hands-on operation and maintenance experience, and the ability to supervise

Qualifications

• Master / Degree in Science or Engineering in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, pharma or petrochemical industries; hands-on operation/maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge in Gas or Chemical Distribution systems (Process Senior Engineer).
• Ability to supervise improvement projects for the above.
• Team Player with strong sense of responsibility.
• Positive learning attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide facilities support for Gas and Chemical Distribution systems to ensure continuous supply of utilities and facilities.
• Formulate and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for related systems.
• Repair and troubleshooting to restore systems quickly; perform root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Develop reporting/tracking on system performance and capacity; propose improvements.
• Develop operating procedures to ensure optimum system operation.
• Monitor utility consumption and work with users to reduce usage.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations and codes of practice.
• Provide guidance and training on systems to colleagues.
• Maintain plant histories, drawings, data and documents for reference.

We’re searching for an Engineer/ Senior Engineer to be part of our Facilities (Gas & Chemical) Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on:

• To provide facilities support pertaining to Gas and Chemical Distribution systems to ensure continuous supply of utilities and related facilities at the required performance level or specifications
• Formulate, implement, review and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for systems in charge to ensure that the systems function as always intended
• Carry out repair and troubleshooting of systems to restore systems to their operating conditions in the shortest possible time. Carry out root cause analysis and implement action plans to prevent recurrence
• Able to formulate effective reporting and tracking systems for monitoring of system performance and capacity usage. Recommend and implement improvement/enhancement projects where appropriate.
• Formulate, implement, review and improve operating procedures so as to ensure optimum operation of systems
• Monitor and review utility consumptions and work with users to implement projects to reduce the consumption where possible
• Be familiar with all relevant standards, legislations, codes of practice etc and ensure their compliance
• Provide guidance and training on the systems in charge to fellow colleagues so as ensure adequate working knowledge and system backup
• Ensure plant histories, drawings, data and other appropriate documentations are being generated and properly filed for future reference and review.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate spares, consumables and other resources necessary for the day-to-day operation of the systems.
• Conduct project supervisions.
