Job summary

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in Singapore is seeking resourceful, energetic individuals to join our team responsible for building and façade safety and compliance. You will conduct inspections of windows and unauthorised structures to ensure adherence to Building Control Regulations and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

This role requires engineering training, strong written and spoken English, and at least two years of site experience.

Qualifications

• Trained in civil/structural engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant site experience.
• Good command of spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Surveillance and Investigation/Regulatory Compliance: conduct regular inspections for non-compliance windows and unauthorised structures; investigate complaints; interpret and enforce building regulations.
• Documentation and Reporting: maintain records, prepare detailed reports with findings and recommended actions.
• Communication/Conflict Resolution: explain regulations to stakeholders; seek amicable and compliant resolutions.
