Job summary

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in Singapore is seeking a resourceful, detail-oriented professional to support building and façade safety and compliance. You will conduct comprehensive inspections of windows and unauthorised structures to ensure compliance with Building Control Regulations.

Trained in civil/structural engineering with at least 2 years of site experience and strong English communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

Surveillance and Investigation/ Regulatory Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to identify non-compliance windows and unauthorised structures; Investigate complaints related to windows and unauthorised constructions and gather relevant information; Interpret and enforce building regulations to ensure structures adhere to regulations.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of window inspections and unauthorised structures, including photographs, violation notices, and correspondence with property owners; Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, compliance status, and recommended actions for regulatory bodies.
Communication/ Conflict Resolution: Communicate with property owners, developers, and other stakeholders to explain regulations, address concerns, and facilitate compliance; Handle property owners, seeking amicable and compliant resolutions.
