Job summary

FUCHI PTE LTD is seeking a skilled fabrication planner to develop daily, weekly and monthly schedules for project and site priorities. You will coordinate with Project, Technical/Design, Procurement, Store and Fabrication teams to align requirements and release fabrication work orders on time.

The role requires reading drawings, planning sequences for ERSS temporary works and structural components, and monitoring progress against plans while ensuring materials and capacity are available and

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of fabrication planning experience.
• Experience in ERSS/temporary works/structural steel fabrication.
• Ability to read structural/fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes.
• Strong planning, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and production planning tools.
• Ability to manage multiple project priorities in fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly fabrication schedules based on project requirements and site priorities.
• Coordinate with Project, Technical/Design, Procurement, Store and Fabrication teams on fabrication requirements.
• Review approved drawings, material lists and fabrication quantities before releasing fabrication work orders.
• Plan fabrication sequences for ERSS struts, walers, beams, frames, platforms and temporary steel structures.
• Monitor workshop production progress against planned schedules and identify potential delays.
• Coordinate with Store and Procurement to ensure materials are available for fabrication.
• Monitor manpower, machinery and workshop capacity and adjust production plans accordingly.
• Track completed, ongoing and pending fabrication works and prepare production reports.
• Coordinate QA/QC inspections and ensure fabricated items are ready for site delivery.
• Coordinate with Logistics for timely delivery of fabricated steel components to project sites.

About you

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related discipline preferred

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in fabrication planning, structural steel, construction or workshop operations

• Experience in ERSS / temporary works / structural steel fabrication will be an advantage

• Able to read and understand structural and fabrication drawings

• Good knowledge of steel fabrication processes including cutting, welding, drilling and assembly

• Strong planning, coordination and follow-up skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production planning/reporting tools

• Able to manage multiple project priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication and problem-solving skills
