Job summary

FOOD REPUBLIC PTE. LTD. invites applications for a Management Trainee to join our F&B team. This entry-level role includes rotation across in-house brands and functions over 18–24 months, under the guidance of experienced managers and supervisors to build leadership capabilities.

You will participate in daily operations across outlets, gain hands-on experience, and develop skills in service, beverage quality, and store management to prepare for junior management roles.

Qualifications

• Degree in F&B or related discipline.
• Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to work 6 days shift, weekends and public holidays.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Willing to travel within Singapore.
• Able to stand long hours during shifts.
• Relevant F&B experience is a plus; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Completing all tasks and assisting day-to-day operations of food/drinks stalls.
• Assist manager to ensure smooth operations and financial aspects of the stall/mini-restaurant.
• Gain knowledge of stall operations by exposure to positions within the stall.
• Supervise store operations, cash control, and shift management.
• Co-lead the team to deliver the mini-restaurant/stall experience with prompt service and quality beverages.
• Ensure compliance with all standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare documents and update records.
• Maintain regular contact with customers to obtain feedback on service and food quality.
• Communicate daily and act as liaison between operations staff and management.
• Travel to different outlets and participate in daily operations as required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job description

Reporting to the F&B Manager, the Management Trainee will embark on an exciting journey to be part of the F&B team, to be trained to become the future leaders in the F&B industry. The trainee will be joining an entry level position with increasing duties and responsibilities to junior management.

The trainee will be having opportunities to be rotated to every in-house food/drinks brands and job functions within the Company throughout the period of the programme (e.g. 18-24 months). They will work alongside with managers and supervisors within the selected F&B outlets throughout the period of the posting for continued growth and career advancement.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Completing all assigned tasks and assisting with day-to-day operations of food/drinks stalls.
• Assisting the manager to ensure smooth operations and financial aspect of the stall/mini-restaurant.
• Gaining good knowledge of the food/drinks stalls operation by exposure to respective position within the stall.
• Supervising store operations, cash control, and shift management.

Requirements:

• Degree Certificate in F&B or any related discipline
• Entry level candidates are welcome to apply
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
• Good time management skills.
• Willing to travel within Singapore
• Ability to engage in physical activities which requires long hours of standing during the work shift.
• Able to work 6 days shift work on rotating shifts, weekends, and Public Holiday
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to liaise with English and Chinese speaking business associates
• Relevant working experiences in an F&B industry is a plus. Applicants without relevant working experience are also welcome to apply as full training will be provided.
