Job summary

Forefront Medical Investment Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hands-on technician to assemble, set up, and align extrusion tooling and downstream equipment in the R&D workshop. You will support engineers with process trials, engineering runs, and DOE, while collecting trial samples and logging precise metrology data.

This role emphasizes practical mechanical understanding, strong attention to detail, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma, Nitec, Higher Nitec, or equivalent in Mechnanical, Precision, Mechantronics, Engineering, or related technical disciplines
• Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies, schematics, and mechanical engineering drawings
• Strong practical and hands-on problem solving
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel/Word)
• Good communication and team collaboration skills
• High attention to detail, precision, and neatness
• Ability to lift tooling/equipment components and work comfortably in cleanroom or workshop environments

Responsibilities

1. Assemble, setup, and align extrusion tooling (dies, cores, pins, sizing sleeves) and downstream equipment

2. Assist engineers in executing process trials, engineering runs, and design of experiments (DOE)

3. Collect trial samples, perform dimensional inspections using handheld metrology tools and log measurement data

4. Operating, maintaining, and managing rapid prototyping 4. equipment in the R&D workshop

5. Maintain 5S standards, cleanliness, and safety compliance across the R&D workshop and cleanroom environments
