Job summary

XIN FA XIAN PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join the Construction / Field Operations team in Singapore. The role involves constructing, installing, and repairing wood-based structures and fixtures per blueprints and building codes, with emphasis on precision, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities include layout, framing, installation of headers and doors, form work for concrete, scaffold setup, and collaboration with other trades to deliver projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven carpentry experience.
• Proven ability to read blueprints and build to specifications.
• Preference for carpentry apprenticeship or formal training.

Responsibilities

• Layout and framing from blueprints; build walls, floors, roofs and decks.
• Install headers, joists, trusses, sheathing, doors and windows.
• Construct, assemble and dismantle scaffolding; repair or renovate wood structures.
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble materials; select appropriate materials.
• Safely operate hand and power tools essential to carpentry.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards on site.
• Collaborate with other trades, foremen, and supervisors to meet schedules.
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and adherence to specs.
