Job summary

Football Association Of Singapore is seeking an Executive to oversee the daily administration of the Men’s Amateur Leagues, Singapore Football Leagues, Island Wide League, FA Cup, and related tournaments. Reporting to Head, Tournaments, you will help plan events and projects.

You will manage competition formats, fixtures, and coordination with clubs; maintain records; and conduct meetings and stadium inspections. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in sports/event management or related discipline.
• Experience in sports operations, competition management, or event coordination preferred.
• Knowledge of football operations and IFAB Laws is beneficial.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Act as Competition Manager for the Men’s Amateur Leagues and related tournaments.

Job Summary

Reporting to Head, Tournaments, the Executive shall be responsible for the daily administration of the Men’s Amateur Leagues including the Singapore Football Leagues (SFL), Island Wide League (IWL), the FA Cup and/or other tournaments under the purview of the Department. The Executive is also required to assist in the planning and execution of football events and projects.

Job Description

• Perform the role of Competition Manager for the Men’s Amateur Leagues, including the Singapore Football Leagues, Island Wide League and/or any other assigned tournaments
• Scheduling and drafting of domestic competition formats and league fixtures as directed
• Assist in planning, coordination and execution of all FAS and/or Singapore Premier League tournaments, matches, events, exercises and projects
• Correspondence with Participating Clubs and other stakeholders on all competition matters
• Perform duties of the Competitions Official at Singapore Premier League and international matches outside of official working hours on a regular basis
• Perform duties of the General Coordinator/Assistant General Coordinator and other supporting roles during tournaments and matches as directed outside of official working hours on a regular basis
• Maintain systematic records, reports and statistics of relevant competitions and tournaments and database of players/officials
• Conduct various meetings, briefings, presentations and workshops for clubs and other stakeholders
• Conduct pre-season, in-season and post-season stadium inspections
• Perform duties of the Secretary – FAS Competitions Committee or other Committees as assigned
• Handle all administrative and operational functions related to Competition Management Systems and their related modules
• Handle departmental administrative duties
• Any other duties as assigned by Deputy General Secretary/Head, Tournaments

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Sports Management, Event Management, or a related discipline
• Prior experience in sports operations, competition management, or event coordination preferred
• Experience working with football leagues, tournaments will be an advantage
• Has good general knowledge of local and international football and basic understanding of football operations and the IFAB Laws of the Game
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills; with the capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proactive team player with a high level of initiative
• Proficient in delivering presentations and conducting meetings
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays as required
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; particularly in drafting presentation materials, report writing and data analysis
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships across all levels
