Job summary

SBS Transit Limited is seeking a proactive Service Controller Team Lead to monitor real-time bus performance and lead a shift-based team. You will act quickly to minimise disruptions, coordinate emergency responses, and optimise resource deployment using the Bus Management System.

The role requires a degree, 2+ years in ops-related functions, strong leadership, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Applicants should be comfortable with rotating shifts and proficient in MS Office and Power

Qualifications

• Degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in operations-related functions. Fresh graduates with strong potential are welcome to apply.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and situational awareness skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure and unpredictable situations.
• Willingness to perform rotating shift work.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Candidates should not have colour vision deficiency.
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo aptitude assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Service Controllers in monitoring bus service performance in real time.
• Take prompt action to minimise service delays, disruptions, and operational incidents.
• Coordinate emergency response efforts and service recovery measures during accidents or disruptions.
• Optimise resource deployment through the Bus Management System.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, SOPs, ISO requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and achieve service performance standards set by management and regulatory authorities.
• Make critical operational decisions and communicate effectively with stakeholders during incidents.
• Analyse operational trends and recommend improvements to enhance service performance.
• Execute Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans during major incidents.
• Lead shift operations and support bus services during rail disruptions when required.
• Assist in the development, review, and implementation of incident management and contingency plans.
• Handle administrative duties including staff rostering, claims processing, and procurement of supplies.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
