Job summary

Ocean Network Express is seeking a detail-oriented Equipment Control professional in Singapore to manage D&D reconciliation, monitor container utilisation, and maintain accurate system records.

You will support data reporting, cost optimisation, and EQC workflows to ensure efficient equipment operations, extracting and visualising data for actionable insights. Applicants should have shipping-related diploma, 2+ years' experience, and strong MS Office / Google Suite skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Maritime Studies or shipping-related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of IICL standards, cargo-worthy inspection, and repair estimation; IICL certification is an advantage.
• Highly organized with strong time management; able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of sound operational decisions.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Vlookup, Pivot Tables) and Google Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile Demurrage & Detention (D&D) charges to ensure billing accuracy.
• Monitor and reduce long-stay empty containers to optimise asset utilisation.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliation of Demurrage & Detention (D&D) charges to ensure billing accuracy.
• Monitor and reduce long-stay empty containers to optimise asset utilisation.
• Correct and maintain accurate container movement records in OPUS.
• Assist in verifying depot invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Support Equipment Control (EQC) workflows for effective tracking and utilisation of container assets.
• Extract, reconcile, and visualise operational data for reporting and analysis.
• Carry out ad-hoc operational tasks to support daily business needs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through strong analytical insights.
• Assist in any other assigned ad-hoc duties.

Job Requirements

• At least Diploma in Maritime Studies / Shipping-related disciplines or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) standards, cargo-worthy inspection, and repair estimation; IICL certification is an advantage.
• Highly organized with strong time management skills, able to prioritise and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of making sound operational decisions
• Proficient in MS Office skills (e.g., Excel, Vlookup, Pivot Tables) as well as Google Suite applications.
