Job summary

Mitsui Elastomers Singapore Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Quality Control professional reporting to the Manager, Quality Control. Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Quality Management System Internal Auditor certification (advantageous).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to work on Jurong Island.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce QC activities to ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
• Approve product lots and investigate quality issues per manufacturing specs.
• Perform the role of Document Controller for proper document management.
• Maintain plant Quality Flowchart, raw material specs, and COAs.
• Coordinate QMS audits and management reviews; implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, QA, and Logistics on packaging trials and improvements.
• Inspect incoming materials and packaging against contractual quality.
• Manage quality documents (COAs, SOPs, manuals).
• Conduct visits and audits of key suppliers and liaise on quality matters.

Job description

For: Mitsui Elastomers Singapore Pte Ltd

Reporting to Manager, Quality Control, this position is responsible for maintaining and enforcing all QC activities to ensure that the products’ quality is in accordance with the ISO standards of the Quality Management System, Company’s Manufacturing Specification and customers’ requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the quality control procedures and enforce the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.

• Approve product lots, investigate quality issues, and maintain/enforce product quality in accordance with Company’s Manufacturing specifications.

• Perform the role of Document Controller, and ensure all documents are properly managed.

• Maintain and update the plant’s Quality Flowchart, specifications of raw materials, and collate raw material Certificates of Analysis (COA).

• Coordinate the implementation of company management system audits and management reviews and ensure timely implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions.

• Coordinate and facilitate investigations with other support functions on customers’ complaints, and support Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Logistics departments on packaging trials, cost reduction, and product improvement.

• Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging, evaluate and monitor the quality of packaging materials and incoming products governed by contractual agreements.

• Manage and update quality documents (COAs, SOPs, manuals).

• Conduct visits and quality audits of key suppliers, liaise with suppliers and internal teams on quality matters.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant experience

• Possess professional certification in Quality Management System Internal Auditor will be advantageous

• Highly self-motivated, independent and resourceful

• Possess good communication skills

• Competent in Microsoft Office applications

• Willing to work in Jurong Island
