Job summary

AWWA LTD is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage the full set of accounts, perform month-end close, and prepare financial statements for assigned services in Singapore. This role supports audits, budgeting, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with stakeholders across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment within the charity,

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in full-set accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the full set of accounts and month-end/year-end closing for assigned services.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, financial schedules, and monthly management reports.
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and review accounting entries to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and coordinate with external auditors and internal audits.
  • Support financial audits by preparing schedules, supporting documents and other information required.
  • Manage grant utilisation reporting and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
  • Assist with cash flow monitoring and financial planning.
  • Adhere to the finance SOPs, policies, and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with service teams and stakeholders on financial and operational matters.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and assignments as required.

Job description

Job Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in full-set accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Meticulous, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the charity, social service, healthcare, or non-profit sector is an advantage.
