Job summary

EMERALD PROJECT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to lead design and calculation work for buildings and civil infrastructures, coordinating with Qualified Person and authorities.

You will develop tender specifications, prepare design schemes, review drawings, and support project planning and liaison with clients and contractors, with at least 3 years of relevant experience and a degree in Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of civil/structural design experience.
• Familiar with design codes and authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute civil and structural design, including calculations and drawings.

• Train and support junior engineers.

Job description

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for the executon of civil and structural design involving the preparation of calculations and review of structural design drawings in accordance to customers' specifications, applicable codes, standards and other generally accepted practices.
• Assist in producing tender specifications and design requirements for calling of tender contracts.
• Undertake detailed design of buildings and civil infrastructures.
• Work with Qualified Person (QP) to develop design scheme for civil and structural works.
• Attend project/technical meetings with authorities, developers and contractors.
• Involve in project planning, implementation and close monitoring of projects.
• Project coordination including submission to local authorities and liaison during the construction stage.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and authorities on technical matters.
• Train and support junior engineers.

Requirements :

• Candidates must possess at least degree in Civil Engineering (preferably recognised by PE Board)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in civil & structural engineering design work.
• Conversant with latest design codes and authority requirements (Codes of practice, directives, etc.).
• Compentency on various design software like ETABS, STAAD, PROKON, SAFE, etc
• With good attitude towards work and timeline.
• Able to work independently to support the Qualified Person.
