Job summary

Charlotte Frank Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a visionary Creative Leader to shape the Harbourfront Hong Kong site into Asia’s premier waterfront destination for arts and spectacle.

You will conceive, curate, and direct a multi-year program of large-scale public performances and immersive experiences. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in senior artistic roles, a standout portfolio of site-specific work, and deep placemaking expertise.

Qualifications

• A proven creative leader with 10+ years of experience in roles such as Artistic Director, Creative Director (Experiential), Festival Director, or Director of Large-Scale Public Performances.
• An exceptional portfolio showcasing work on iconic, site-specific performing projects.
• Deep understanding of placemaking and how cultural programming activates public space.
• Strong networks within international and Asian arts, theatre, and experiential design communities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate creative vision for diverse audiences.
• Experience managing significant artistic budgets and complex, multi-disciplinary productions.

Responsibilities

• Vision & Curation: Develop and articulate the overarching artistic vision and cultural strategy for the Harbourfront site, reflecting Hong Kong heritage and a global identity.
• Design and direct a year-round portfolio of flagship events and permanent experiences, including large-scale outdoor spectacles, immersive theatre, light & sound festivals, digital art projections, and participatory public art.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with architecture, design, leasing, marketing, and operations to ensure concepts are integrated and commercially viable.
• Production & Execution: Oversee end-to-end production of major events and installations from concept to delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and impact.
