Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in banking, payments, capital markets, transaction banking, financial market infrastructure, technology, product management, strategy or innovation.
• Experience taking complex technology or digital-finance initiatives from strategy and experimentation through pilot, regulatory engagement, implementation and commercial adoption.
• Deep working knowledge of blockchain and distributed ledger technology, tokenisation, digital assets, digital currencies and associated market, operating, control and regulatory considerations.
• Strong appreciation of quantum computing, quantum-inspired optimisation, hybrid computing and their potential financial-services applications.
• Commercial and product leadership, including opportunity assessment, customer discovery, business cases, partnership models, economics, prioritisation, go-to-market planning and benefits tracking.
• Credible senior stakeholder management across business, technology, operations, risk, legal, compliance, finance, regulators, clients and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• An advanced degree or recognised professional qualification in technology, engineering, computer science, finance, business or a related discipline is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy and portfolio for blockchain, tokenisation, digital assets, digital currencies, quantum computing and emerging technologies.
• Define value propositions, target segments, product constructs, operating models, business cases and go-to-market pathways.
• Sponsor research, proofs-of-concept, prototypes and industry pilots; apply stage gates and transition to production.
• Lead tokenised finance initiatives across tokenised money and assets, including deposits, regulated stablecoins, wholesale digital currencies, custody, tokenisation and interoperability.
• Build ecosystem and industry leadership; develop partnerships with financial institutions, fintechs, technology providers and academia.
• Drive quantum and advanced-computing innovation with a portfolio of applications and responsible transition paths.
• Embed risk and control by design with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Cyber Security, Data and Technology Risk stakeholders.
• Orchestrate enterprise delivery with cross-functional alignment and governance.
• Provide market intelligence and executive advice on regulatory, competitive and technology developments.
• Develop capability and lead talent within the Innovation Group.
