Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) is seeking an Executive Director to lead the commercialisation of blockchain initiatives and digital-asset pilots. The role focuses on translating research and proof-of-concept into scalable, revenue-generating capabilities while balancing regulatory, technology and risk requirements.

As part of the Innovation Group, you will shape the roadmap for tokenised finance, pursue ecosystem partnerships, and drive quantum computing initiatives across banking problems

Qualifications

• 15+ years in banking, payments, or related domains with leadership responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of blockchain, tokenisation, and digital currencies.
• Experience navigating regulatory, legal and risk considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy and portfolio for blockchain, tokenisation, and digital assets.
• Drive commercialisation, define value propositions and go-to-market plans.
• Lead pilots from concept to production with governance and risk controls.
• Advance tokenised finance capabilities across deposits, stablecoins and settlements.
• Build ecosystem partnerships with financial institutions, fintechs and academia.
• Drive quantum and advanced computing initiatives to solve banking problems.
• Embed risk and control by design with Legal, Compliance and Risk teams.
• Coordinate enterprise delivery across multiple functions and regions.
• Provide market intelligence and executive advisory on emerging tech.
• Develop talent and governance frameworks within the Innovation Academy.
