Job summary

PaxOcean Singapore is seeking a Commercial/Cost Controller to join the Marine Services team. The role acts as the main contact across external clients and internal stakeholders during the project lifecycle, ensuring timely capture of planned and additional works and accurate invoicing.

You will participate in VSCC and progress meetings, manage cost reporting, budgeting and month-end close, and coordinate with production, subcontractors, purchasing and finance to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working experience in ship repairs/shipyard.
• Diploma in Engineering in Marine, Mechanical, Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP/Salesforce experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend VSCC meeting and progress meetings on board vessel.
• Submit and agree prices for all additional works based on manhours, materials and subcontractor before commencement of work.
• Submit weekly cost updates to owner.
• Prepare part payment invoices and follow up with remittance.
• Negotiation and settlement of final repair invoice with owner/Tech Supt.
• Monitor, track and report project budget and P&L on a weekly basis.
• Project costing/revenue reporting to Finance for Month end closing.
• Any other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time

Plays a critical role within the Commercial Department as the key point of contact with external clients, as well as internal stakeholders – production, subcon, purchasing, finance – during the project life cycle. Performs the key role of capturing all the planned and additional works and billing clients in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend VSCC meeting and progress meeting on board vessel.
• Inspection of additional works with trades / SRM / subcontractor / Owner .
• Submit and agree prices for all additional works, based on manhours, materials and subcontractor, before commencement of work.
• Submit weekly cost update to owner.
• Prepare part payment invoice and follow up with remittance.
• Negotiation and settlement of final repair invoice with owner / Tech Supt
• Monitor, track and report project budget and P&L on a weekly basis
• Project Costing/Revenue reporting to Finance for Month end closing.
