Job summary

MOI INTERNATIONAL (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks an Executive, Commercial to support the cocoa business, including beans, butter, powder and cake. You will work with the Business Head on commercial activities, market analysis, pricing, hedging and contract execution across international markets.

You will also assist trade operations governance, data accuracy and reporting, coordinating across teams to strengthen controls and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in commodity trading, commercial operations, trade execution, or supply chain management within cocoa products.
• Experience in cocoa products, food ingredients, agricultural or soft commodities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and expansion of the Cocoa Products business.
• Prepare cocoa product quotations, pricing analyses, profitability assessments and commercial proposals.
• Support customer and supplier relationship management and participate in discussions and business development activities.
• Support the execution of prompt and forward trading opportunities.

Job description

Role Purpose

The Executive, Commercial will support the growth of the Group's cocoa business, covering cocoa beans, cocoa butter, cocoa powder and cocoa cake. Working closely with the Business Head, the role supports commercial activities, market analysis, pricing and hedging, position and exposure monitoring, and contract execution across international markets.

The role also supports trade operations governance, data accuracy and reporting, and coordination across teams to strengthen operational controls and business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Support & Business Development

• Support the development and expansion of the Cocoa Products business.
• Prepare cocoa products quotations, pricing analyses, profitability assessments and commercial proposals.
• Support customer and supplier relationship management and take part in customer discussions and business development activities.
• Support the execution of prompt and forward trading opportunities.

Market Analysis & Reporting

• Monitor cocoa price movements, futures markets, FX movements, supply-demand fundamentals and industry developments.
• Prepare regular cocoa market updates, management reports and presentations.
• Develop and maintain reports and trackers that improve the accuracy and timeliness of commercial and risk information.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and planning.

Hedging, Positions & Exposure Monitoring

• Maintain and monitor hedging positions, open positions and FX exposures.
• Ensure hedging books, position reports and exposure reports are updated accurately and on time.
• Track open pricing contracts and fixation deadlines.
• Reconcile physical and futures positions against trading records, and follow up on discrepancies with the relevant parties.

Contract Management & Trade Execution

• Coordinate the execution of purchase and sales contracts from confirmation through to settlement.
• Monitor contract balances, shipment schedules and fulfilment status.
• Coordinate trade documentation and contract amendments.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, logistics providers and internal stakeholders.

Trade Operations & Governance

• Support trade capture accuracy, contract amendments and approval workflows.
• Coordinate with Treasury, Shipping, Settlement and Finance teams.
• Support the implementation of trade controls, documentation standards and process improvements.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in commodity trading, commercial operations, trade execution, trade finance or supply chain management within the cocoa products industry.
• Experience in cocoa products, food ingredients, agricultural commodities or soft commodities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong commercial and analytical mindset of the cocoa sector.
• Knowledge of Cocoa products’ futures, hedging and exposure management concepts.
• Familiarity with trade finance instruments such as LC, DP and prepayment structures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/trading systems.
• Strong communication, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent stakeholder management skills..
