Team Direction: Cross-functional team (Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Content)
As Event Director, you will manage a portfolio of trade shows and business events across Southeast Asia. In this role, you will shape the long-term plan for your events, manage the budget, work closely with industry partners, and guide the team.
This position offers clear operational ownership and the opportunity to build meaningful platforms that join businesses across the region.
Strategy & Portfolio Management
Develop annual plans and long-term goals for your event portfolio.
Identify new opportunities to expand into new sectors, regions, or event formats.
Use market research and attendee feedback to keep events relevant and high-value.
Financial & Commercial Oversight
Manage the event budget and financial performance, including forecasting and revenue planning.
Work with the sales team to set fair pricing and achievable targets for sponsorship and exhibition space.
Provide regular updates on event progress and performance to senior management.
Partner & Community Engagement
Build positive, long-term relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, industry associations, and partners.
Ensure a high-quality experience for all event participants and attendees.
Represent the events professionally within the industry network.
Team Guidance & Alignment
Guide a cross-functional team, helping members develop their skills and meet team goals.
Maintain a positive, professional, and balanced working environment.
Coordinate with venue teams, contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Liaise with global teams to share knowledge and administrative best practices.
10+ years of experience in commercial management, business development, or event operations.
5+ years of experience managing or supervising team members.
Experience working within or across ASEAN markets.
Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills.
Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
Ability to travel within Southeast Asia as needed for event cycles.
