Job summary

BYD Singapore is seeking a hands-on Operations & Maintenance Engineer to support the daily operation, reliability and maintenance of our EV charging network in Singapore. You will monitor performance, diagnose faults and coordinate maintenance activities with technicians and contractors.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to communicate in English and Chinese with HQ and diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in EV charging, electrical systems, maintenance, field service or infra ops preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on problem-solving skills.
• Able to coordinate field activities with technicians, contractors and stakeholders.
• Familiar with EV charging systems, CSMS or charging infrastructure is a plus.
• Proficient in English and Chinese to communicate with China HQ and diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor charger status, alarms, sessions and network performance.
• Diagnose faults and coordinate incident responses.
• Plan preventive and corrective maintenance for charging equipment.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure safety and operation of chargers and cables.
• Support aftersales cases and coordinate with technicians and contractors.
• Maintain maintenance records, incident reports and asset data.
• Support testing and readiness for new charging sites.
• Track performance metrics like MTTR and maintenance completion.
• Prepare operational reports and propose improvements.
