Job summary

Recruit Express PTE LTD advertises an 8-month contract deployed to a Research Ethics Administration role in Singapore. You will assist with ethics guidelines, support REC meetings, coordinate reviews, and maintain records and reports.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in science or health disciplines, demonstrates strong organisational, writing and communication skills, and can work independently while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Health fields is required or preferred
• Experience in healthcare, research administration or related areas is advantageous
• Good organisational and writing skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, review and updating of research ethics guidelines, policies and SOPs.
• Support the administration and secretariat functions for Research Ethics Committee (REC) meetings when required.
• Coordinate and facilitate research ethics review board meetings, including preparing agendas, checking meeting requirements and documenting minutes.
• Screen and review research ethics applications and related correspondence to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Coordinate follow-ups with investigators, sponsors and relevant stakeholders on review outcomes and required actions.
• Ensure research protocols are reviewed in accordance with applicable regulations, guidelines and policies.
• Provide guidance to investigators and researchers on policies, procedures and submission requirements.
• Maintain clear and accurate communication records with investigators, sponsors, review board members and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases of research ethics applications.
• Prepare reports relating to research ethics reviews and other relevant activities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the ethics review process.
• Provide cross-coverage for other domains when required.
• Support conferences, programmes and other administrative activities related to research ethics.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
