Job summary

GTS Consulting is seeking a skilled Middle Office Trade Support professional for its Singapore operations. You will manage the post-trade lifecycle of Equity TRS, validate settlement details, and coordinate with Front Office and counterparties to resolve issues.

The role requires 3–5 years in Middle Office or related areas, strong English communication, and a bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field. This is a Singapore-based, on-site position with growth in a dynamic capital markets team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Admin, Mathematics or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Middle Office, Trade Support, Settlement or Operations in securities/ capital markets.
• Experience supporting Equity TRS or other Equity Derivatives is preferred.

• Verify trade economics, financing events, dividend adjustments, and corporate actions for timely processing.

• Manage daily cash and securities settlement for Equity Derivatives and monitor settlement status.
• Prepare operational reports and ensure timely settlement, controls and exception management.

Responsibilities

Trade Lifecycle Management

• Support the complete post-trade lifecycle of Equity Total Return Swaps (TRS) and other OTC Equity Derivatives, including trade booking, affirmation, amendments, and lifecycle events.
• Verify trade economics, financing events, dividend adjustments, and corporate actions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Work closely with Front Office and counterparties to resolve trade-related issues and operational exceptions.

Settlement & Operational Control

• Manage daily cash and securities settlement for Equity Derivatives transactions and monitor settlement status.
• Perform daily reconciliation of positions, cash balances, and trade records; investigate trade breaks or settlement discrepancies.
• Prepare operational reports and ensure timely completion of settlement, operational controls, and exception management.

Client Account Setup & System Administration

• Set up new client accounts and maintain static data within the Trading System following successful client onboarding and KYC.
• Configure trading parameters, settlement instructions, product permissions, and account settings in accordance with approved onboarding requirements.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), account maintenance, and system enhancements relating to Equity Derivatives operations.

Counterparty & Cross-Functional Support

• Liaise with brokers, custodians, clearing agents, and liquidity providers to facilitate efficient trade processing and settlement.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office, Risk Management, Compliance, and Operations teams to support daily business activities and new product implementation.
• Provide cross-functional operational support across the Capital Markets business as required to ensure business continuity and operational efficiency.

Process Improvement & Operational Readiness

• Participate in the rollout and operational readiness of the Equity Derivatives platform, including workflow design and operational process setup.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, process enhancement, and system optimisation.
• Prepare and maintain operational procedures, control documentation, and internal operating manuals.

Pre-requisites

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Middle Office, Trade Support, Settlement or Operations within securities firm, prime broker or capital markets institution.
• Experience supporting Equity Total Return Swaps (TRS), or other Equity Derivatives businesses is preferred.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle management, settlement processes, reconciliation and operational controls.
• Fluent in English. Mandarin is preferred.
• Eligible to work in Singapore.
