Job summary

Skyworks, Bedok, Singapore, is hiring an Equipment Engineering Tech 4 to support the maintenance and optimization of manufacturing equipment. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and contributing to downtime reduction, with a rotating 4-3 shift schedule.

You will assist engineers in planning overhaul schedules, analyze root causes, and support improvements in yield, process stability and safety across operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain manufacturing process and stabilize/optimize equipment through continuous improvement and cost reduction.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment and facilities, support setup/conversion and qualification, monitor overall equipment effectiveness and efficiency.
• Assist engineers to establish weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual overhaul and maintenance schedules.
• Investigate root causes of chronic issues and lead timely corrective actions with data collection and analysis.
• Assist in management of equipment spares and inventory system.

• Working hours: 4-3 Rotating shift
• To maintain the manufacturing process with the objective of ensuring equipment capabilities are stabilized and optimized through continuous improvement and cost reduction within the limits of cost permitted and department policies and objectives.

Maintenance & Equipment Recovery

• Execution of preventive maintenance, equipment and facility troubleshooting, support set-up/conversion and qualification, overall equipment effectiveness and efficiency.
• Perform machine recovery for production in shortest time and provide corrective action on breakdown / abnormal status reporting to supervisor & recording into downtime report.
• Assist engineer to establish weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually overhaul and maintenance schedule.
• Investigate and analyze root cause of chronic issues and lead efforts timely to systematically solve them and sustain results. (E.g. Data collection, Analysis etc.)

Spare Parts

• Assist in the management and upkeep of equipment spares and inventory system.

Continuous Improvement / Support

• Support manufacturing process yield improvement, process optimization, increase productivity and support supplier quality engineering.
• Assist engineers in equipment modification.
• Support and participate in 6sigma/QSD/OEE-project implementation and quality awareness activities across manufacturing operations.
• Support on safety, ISO & 5S audit.

Training

• Assist Engineers in staff training, e.g Autonomous, maintenance training, prepare training materials, cross training of zone members, updating and reporting.

Safety, Housekeeping, Discipline & Others

• Perform the activities (5S, workplace safety and occupational hazards) to ensure conformance of safety instructions and promote good housekeeping, organization, and manufacturing practices.
• Ensure good housekeeping, plant work discipline, ESD and safety awareness at all times.
• Execute Ad Hoc task instructed by supervisor / manager.

Others

• Support all manufacturing specifications for technology/product transfer, new process introduction, product development and machine setup.
• Carry out effective planning for corrective and preventive measures to maintain high equipment reliability and process stability with minimal resource requirements.
