Job summary

Lim Wen Heng Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to ensure strict compliance with environmental regulations, maintain ECO licenses, and lead site monitoring programs across projects.

You will oversee waste and pollution controls, prepare monthly performance reports for the EHS Manager, and coordinate with authorities on permits, audits and changes to legal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid NEA-registered ECO license (ECO(SCS) for construction sites or ECO (SP) for specified premises), issued within the past five years.
  • Must have completed the NEA-approved ECO training course, with certification valid within five years.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in building construction project

Responsibilities

  • Ensure procedures are updated with the latest Codes of Practice and government legislation.
  • Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and provide recommendations for improvement periodically.
  • Establish and supervise the execution of various monitoring programmes.
  • To provide monthly report to EHS Manager on EHS system operation and performance.
  • To ensure that work practices in projects are at all times in line with legal and 3rd party audit requirement, that is, WSH, ISO, GGB, ConSASS and Bizsafe.
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and permits
  • Managing waste and pollution control.
  • Conducting environmental inspections and assessments Investigating environmental incidents.
  • Exercise control in enforcing compliances to legal requirement and in-house rules.
  • To update the latest development on legal requirement and make known the impact to EHS committee members and necessary changes to made.
  • To involve in pre-project planning and advice on the measures to take in terms of traffic, security, visitors, public and neighbors' engagement and management.
  • To conduct regular inspection to ensure that the measures are at all times in place and complaints related.

Job Requirement:

  • Must hold a valid NEA-registered ECO license (ECO(SCS)for construction sites or ECO (SP) for specified premises), issued within the past five years—or have passed are fresher exam.
  • Must have completed the NEA-approved ECO training course, with certification valid within five years.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in building construction project
