Job summary

SG UNITED CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking an Environmental Compliance professional to monitor and minimize environmental impacts across planning, design, and construction stages.

You will conduct inspections, audits, and reporting to ensure compliance with environmental authorizations and communicate with authorities. Responsibilities include assisting teams with environmental approvals, delivering training, maintaining permits and records, and managing external communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in HDB projects.
• Ability to conduct inspections and audits producing thorough, readable, and informative reports.
• Good knowledge of relevant environmental policies, legislation, guidelines, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and verify environmental impacts during project planning, design, and construction phases to ensure minimal environmental harm
• Assist project teams in obtaining all necessary environmental authorizations for compliance
• Implement environmental awareness training based on environmental training needs analysis to enhance team knowledge
• Conduct surveillance, monthly inspections, and detailed environmental audits to assess compliance and identify issues
• Liaise with the NEA and other authorities, and assist the Engineer in managing external environmental communications
• Maintain comprehensive site documentation including permits, method statements, reports, audits, monitoring results, and waste removal receipts
• Capture and maintain regular photographic records of the site from fixed points and document all environmental incidents
• Inspect environmental incidents, report findings, and verify the implementation of corrective actions
• Manage public communication and complaints related to environmental matters to maintain community relations
