Job summary

VINOVA PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Java Full-stack Engineer to develop, maintain and support enterprise applications in a highly regulated environment. You will work on backend services with Java/Spring Boot and frontend with React, ensuring robust APIs and data flows.

You will deploy and troubleshoot using GitLab CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes, configure API gateways, and help resolve production issues while engaging with clients on technical discussions.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, SpringBoot and RESTful API development.
• Solid database and SQL experience, including data integration and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of React and frontend integration with backend services.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with API gateway and reverse proxy technologies, such as Nginx.
• Ability to support production issues through log investigation, debugging and root cause analysis.
• Experience with application and dependency vulnerability remediation.
• Good spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and explain technical concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and troubleshoot database queries and integrations to support application functionality and performance.
• Maintain and enhance React components, including integration with backend APIs.
• Support application deployment and troubleshooting using GitLab CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configure, integrate and troubleshoot API gateways and reverse proxies.
• Investigate production issues, analyse application logs, identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Remediate vulnerabilities in application code and dependencies, and verify that fixes resolve issues.
• Participate in and, where required, lead technical discussions with clients to clarify requirements and explain issues.
