Eames Consulting client in Singapore seeks an experienced infrastructure professional to own data protection strategy, manage enterprise backup architectures across storage, virtual, and cloud environments, and resolve complex issues.

You will govern backup platforms, investigate failures across NAS, VMs, Kubernetes, and coordinate with vendors. Strong ITIL discipline and security clearance constraints apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of infrastructure support or data protection experience.
• Experience with enterprise backup architectures (Dell NetWorker, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity).
• Hands-on with storage appliances (Data Domain, SAN, PowerStore, Isilon).
• Familiar with VMware vSphere/VCF and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI).
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs).

Responsibilities

• Govern and optimize enterprise backup and recovery platforms to ensure high availability and data integrity.
• Investigate and resolve storage, network, and backup failures across physical servers, VMs, NAS, and Kubernetes environments.
• Administer and configure core data protection solutions, specifically PPDM and Avamar.
• Execute infrastructure lifecycle management, including patching, technology refresh, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for infrastructure incidents.
• Uphold ITIL frameworks for incident, change, and problem management while maintaining rigorous technical documentation.

The Role

You will take ownership of the organization's data protection strategy, managing enterprise backup architectures and resolving complex infrastructure issues across storage, virtual, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Govern and optimize enterprise-grade backup and recovery platforms to guarantee high availability and data integrity.
• Investigate and resolve complex storage, network, and backup failures across physical servers, VMs, NAS, and Kubernetes environments.
• Administer and configure core data protection solutions, specifically leveraging Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) and Avamar.
• Execute infrastructure lifecycle management, including patching, technology refresh initiatives, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for infrastructure incidents.
• Uphold ITIL frameworks for incident, change, and problem management while maintaining rigorous technical documentation.

Requirements

• Due to project security clearance requirements and the sensitive nature of the work, only Singapore Citizens are eligible for this role.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of dedicated experience in infrastructure support, storage platforms, or data protection.
• Proven track record with enterprise backup architectures (e.g., Dell NetWorker, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity).
• Hands-on knowledge of storage appliances and platforms (Data Domain, SAN, PowerStore, Isilon).
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware vSphere/VCF) and public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).
• Core networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and storage connectivity.
