Job description

[What the role is]

• The successful candidate will lead architecture design and governance across the Learning & Skills portfolio, ensuring scalable, integrated and sustainable digital capabilities that support long-term product evolution and sector-wide interoperability.

[What you will be working on]

• Define architecture vision, principles and target state.
• Own application, data and integration architecture.
• Establish common integration and data standards.
• Govern architecture compliance and design reviews.
• Provide oversight of vendor solution designs.
• Align architecture decisions with product roadmap objectives.
• Manage architecture risks and technical debt.
• Ensure architecture supports future enhancements and scalability.

[What we are looking for]

• Qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, systems integration or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience designing and governing enterprise-scale digital systems.
• Strong understanding of application, data and integration architecture principles.
• Experience managing architecture governance and working with external vendors.
• Experience in education technology, enterprise platforms, data ecosystems or related domains will be an advantage.
