Job summary

Our client in Singapore is seeking an Application Lead to drive its enterprise application strategy and digital transformation. This leadership role combines portfolio ownership, business partnership and software engineering oversight to deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will lead the Digital Business Partner and Software Engineering teams, translating business priorities into a clear roadmap and overseeing delivery, adoption and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in application management, technology delivery, digital products or business systems.
• At least 5 years’ leadership experience managing application delivery, product management, business partnering or technology teams.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise application roadmaps and transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing both COTS and custom-built applications.
• Strong understanding of cloud, APIs, integration, data platforms, automation and AI/ML.
• Strong vendor management, stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
• Ability to translate business goals into practical solutions and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise application portfolio and roadmap, aligning investments with business strategy and transformation priorities.
• Lead application modernisation, optimisation and lifecycle planning.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery, ensuring effective governance of scope, budgets, timelines, risks and benefits.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, prioritise initiatives and drive user adoption.
• Lead and develop the Digital Business Partner and Software Engineering teams, strengthening accountability, delivery discipline and engineering standards.
• Drive modernisation and integration using cloud, APIs, automation, AI/ML and data platforms.
• Ensure applications are secure, scalable, maintainable and supported effectively.
• Manage vendors and delivery partners, including selection, contract governance and performance.
• Provide clear portfolio insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
